Good Morning, Vietnam…
“GOOOD BYEEEEEE, Robin Williams!” The world is shocked and saddened by the news of Robin Williams’ death. It is hard for many include myself to believe and comprehend that the funniest guy on earth was also the saddest guy on earth. I am still trying to reconcile the loss of this wonderful super charged energiser comic genius!
Over the years, this Comic Genius had brought so much joy and warmth to countless household.
This served as an expensive reminder for us certainly life is short and fragile. I am sure we all know some people in our world who suffer from depression. We may not really know what people are going through and the battles they are fighting. Be kind and caring enough to check on loved ones and people in your sphere. Sometime, a text message, a quick call, a smile and your quiet presence will make a big difference.
Clinical Depression is like having cancer in the mind. A depressed person is trapped in his or her dark mind that cannot see light at the end of the tunnel. He or she may subject to these feelings: anti-social, defensive, sensitive, lonely, isolated with suppressed anger and people around he /she do not understand and do not how to give appropriate help. Good Professional help is needed. Yet professional help does not always get it right. If they just concentrate to treat the roots of the issue instead of the surface and symptoms of depression will have better rate of recovery. Suicide watch is key for spiral down clinical depression. Depression is not bias; it can hit anyone, including christians, atheists, metaphysics, and other believers at any age, any gender, rich or poor. It is stated “Four temperaments is a proto-psychological theory that suggests that there are four fundamental personality types, sanguine (pleasure-seeking and sociable), choleric (ambitious and leader-like), melancholic (analytical and quiet), and phlegmatic (relaxed and peaceful). Most formulations include the possibility of mixtures of the types.” -Wikipedia. People who are melancholic are likely to subject to depression than the other three temperaments. In general, people are likely to have a mix of two or more temperaments with one stonger temperament than others. In my humble opinion, is harder for others to notice depression in someone who is sanguine than melancholic. There is no shame for one to recognise and own up this issue. No one should suffer depression alone. With the support of divine guidance, family, loved ones, close friends and good professional help, one can fight depression.

“But oh, to be free. Not to have to go “Poof! What do you need? Poof! What do you need? Poof! What do you need?” To be my own master.
