So blessed to usher the new year, a new decade in the most beautiful city in the world with lovely and wonderful friends!

Abba Dad in Heaven, is going to a new thing, a new season, new decade, bringing dry and deserted wasteland to life. (Isaiah 43:19) He is breathing freshness, newness, renewing and restoring you and things around you. A change, a shift has started. Sense of 3 Rs taking place: Reset, Restitutions and Restoration will take place for many who had suffered deeply in many area of your life. Be ready to process your promise land, no more living in wilderness. Just declare and prepare for it.

He has equipped you with the full armour for the road ahead. (Ephesians 6:10-20) Stay focus with the visions and dreams He put in your heart. (Habakuk 2:2)

May His wisdom guide you in this new decade.

“Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and he will lead you wherever you go. Don’t think for a moment that you know it all, for wisdom comes when you adore him with undivided devotion and avoid everything that’s wrong. Then you will find the healing refreshment your body and spirit long for. Glorify God with all your wealth, honoring him with your very best, with every increase that comes to you. Then every dimension of your life will overflow with blessings from an uncontainable source of inner joy!”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3:5-10‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Seek His presence daily, the first thing and last thing you do. Immerse in Holy Spirit and you will see chains falling and sudden turnaround. His peace resting on you.

Good Day, Beautiful People.

Thank you for being patient with me & my time out in writing.

I’m not sure what season in your life you are at. You may be doing well at the mountain top or down at the valley. Nothing stay the same, is a season. Seasons change that is part of life journey.

Today, I’m here to remind you this is your time. This is your moment to walk in confidence, take a brave step towards your God’s called destiny. Some of you may have face so many challenges that is easier for you to give up now than to move forward. Don’t let the enemy win. Winning is in your DNA, you’ve Jesus’ blood in you. You’re fighting on the victory ground. Abba Dad wants me to remind you your victories in the past, but you have not see anything yet.

Follow these 8 basic foundation:

1. Keep your vision [Habakuk2:2] in front of you. Dare to dream big dreams. Like Joseph in Genesis 37

2. Run your race. Focus on your unique course & goals. You’re running a good race – Galatians 5:7. …let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.. Hebrews 12:1

3. Expect Good Things. Anticipate great opportunities. Now we live in great expectations… 1Peter 1:3. Surely Goodness & mercy shall follow me… Psalms 23:6 God’s favour in your life.

4. Have a positive mind set. Take control of your thoughts & attitude. Keep the right perspective. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by renewing of your mind – Romans 12:2 Truth will set you free – John 8:32 Set your mind on things above – Colossians 3:2

5. Commit to excellence. Do your best & maintain high standards. 80% of people belongs to the norm – mediocrity. Honour God in all you do. – you’ll have excellence spirit. No sloppiness. Go the extra mile. Do the right even no one see it. You’re representing God. Like Daniel distinguished himself with exceptional qualities. Daniel 6:3 Like Rebekah who when beyond her duties to get water for Abraham’s servant. She got water for the camels too. Guess what God see it & rewards excellence.

6. Keep growing. Be proactive, be intentional, build on your skills, gifts & talents; continue to improve. There is always room for improvement till the we meet Jesus face to face. When you stop learning, you stop growing. Don’t settle. Like David, a humble shepherd boy develop skill at doing slingshot… so he is able to defeat Goliath. Proverbs 18:16 “A man’s gifts make room for him & brings him before the Great.” You have treasure in you, those talents & skills will caused you to be noticed.

“Do you see a man skillful in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men.” Proverbs 22:29 Like Joseph.

Associate with inspiring people – many in our church.

You spend your time like you spend your money. You need to surround yourself with the right people because you have a godly destiny to fulfill.

7. Serve Others. Invest yourself in others. True Leaders are the ones who serve people. Example Jesus washing the disciples feet, heal the sick to chat with the outcast. We are never too important to serve. You feed your soul by helping others. Strength, joy, energy, peace, wisdom and healing come to those who serve. When you lift others, God will lift you. “What you do in secret, God will reward you for in the open.” Matthew 6:6

8. Stay passionate. Light the fire within and approach life with enthusiasm. Get your passion back, even you faced some setbacks. God can and will cause things to shift in your favour. You simply have to believe. Stay excited. Don’t let your miracle become so common that they don’t excite you anymore. Eg you pray to meet your soulmate, you are so over the moon. Then years down the track, you take each other for granted. You lose that passion and first love. Maybe nothing exciting in your life at the moment or you are facing big challenges. You need to sow a seed. God will take that seed and grow that seed to bring something mind blowing into your life. Ecclesiastes says “whatever you do, do it with all your heart & you are honouring God.” Keep working & growing. You can retire from your job but never retire from life. Get in agreement with God, “Lift up your head & the King of Glory will come in.” He will make a way where it looks like there is no way. Don’t lose your passion. God will come in & guide you to where He wants you to be. Look ahead don’t get stuck & bitter, fall into self pity, blame others & let the past poison your future. Get rid of the baggage of hurt, pain, disappointment & resentment. Forgive those who hurt you. Learn to forgive yourself like Jesus has forgiven you.

Tell your heart to dream again! Remember your first love. Revelations 2 “I’ve one thing against you, you have left your first love.” Go & get it back…

Dreams can come back to life, Vision can be renewed. Passion can be restored.

Treasure Today

Good Day, Beautiful People.

My mate shared this with me:

SOME DAY & ONE DAY

_A friend of mine opened his wife’s wardrobe and picked up a silk paper wrapped package._

“This,” he said, “isn’t any ordinary package.”_

_He unwrapped the box and stared at both the silk paper and the box and silk satin dresses inside._

_”She got this the first time we went to New York , 8 or 9 years ago. She has never put it on , was saving it for a special occasion. Well, I guess this is it.”_He got near the bed and placed the gift box next to the other clothing he was taking to the funeral house, his wife had just died.__He turned to me and said, “never save something for a ‘special occasion’. Every day in your life is a *’Special occasion'”*_

_I still think those words changed my life.__Now I read more and clean less.__I sit on the porch without worrying about anything.__I spend more time with my family, and less at work._*_I understood that life should be a source of experience to be lived up to, not survived through._*

_I no longer keep anything._

_I use crystal glasses every day.__I’ll wear new clothes to go to the supermarket, if I feel like it._*_I don’t save my special perfume for special occasions, I use it whenever I want to._*_The words *’Someday….’ and ‘ One Day…’*are fading away from my dictionary.__If it’s worth seeing, listening or doing, I want to see, listen or do it now._

_I don’t know what my friend’s wife would have done if she knew she wouldn’t be there the next morning, this nobody can tell.__*Each day, each hour, each minute, is special.*_

_Live for today, for tomorrow is promised to no-one.__If you’re too busy to send this out to other people and you say to yourself that you will send it ‘LATER remember that LATER might never come…

You may or may not read this message before. If you did, may it serve as a kind reminder.

Life is too short for you not to treasure everyday. Be presence wherever you are. If we strife, we will never be happy, joyful and content. Look at what you have and been given, enjoy before it is all gone or too late.

Harry Lee Kuan Yew (LKY), Legendary Founding Father of Singapore [16 September 1923 – 23 March 2015]

Good Day, Beautiful People!

My heart is heavy and deeply saddened upon receiving early morning text messages streaming in from Singapore. Today is a very sad day for the Nation of Singapore! Many Singaporeans are mourning for the passing of Founding Father of Singapore, the first Prime Minister, (Minister Mentor) MM Lee Kuan Yew (LKY).

People may have to agree to disagree with something you said, the hard decisions you contrived at the given circumstances and some policies you made. Amazingly, your shoulders were broad enough to take the public criticism. Like your lifelong friend, Henry Kissinger said ” He was not at all a charmer. He was not a flatterer. He had developed his point of view. He would present it with great intelligence and eloquence – not in order to get you to do something specific, but to understand the nature of the world in which you were living.”

No matter what is your view about this man, it is undeniable fact that MM LKY was a Visionary, Hero, rare influential Statesman, Strategist, Economic Pragmatist, Entrepreneur and Legendary Giant in the Political World and Architect of modern Singapore. Without MM LKY, the tiny red dot in the world map, a little sleepy Island Temasek, will not be the Modern Singapore that the world has known. He has sacrificed his life to build Singapore from a third world to a first world country surrounded by the third world countries. His profound wisdom and leadership has made Singapore a stable, peaceful, progressive and prosperous country. May Singapore continue to be the country of a meritocratic government and a fair education system with equal opportunities for all, affordable housing, high productivity, high efficiency, low crimes, low corruptions, a great business hub and financial powerhouse.

MM Lee Kuan Yew Famous Quotes:

If you want to reach your goals and dreams, you cannot do it without discipline.

I am nobody’s stooge. I am not here to play somebody else’s game. I have a few million people’s lives to account for.

You lose nothing by being polite. The answer is ‘No’, but please say it politely and give the reasons… Explain to me why ‘No’. Don’t change ‘No’ to ‘Yes’. Don’t be a fool. If there was a good reason why it is ‘No’, it must remain ‘No’, but the man must be told politely.”

At the end of the day, decisions have got to be made by adults, not teenagers, but it has got to be made in such a way that when the teenagers become adults, and they look back on these decisions, they will be proud of the generation that went before them.

I have believed in Malaysian merger and the unity of these two territories. You know they are people connected by geography, economics, and ties of kinship — would you mind that we stop for a while…

Every person, genius or moron, has a right to reproduce himself.

I wish I can meet my wife in the hereafter, but I don’t think I will. I just cease to exist just as she has ceased to exist.

I don’t believe in love at first sight. I think it’s a grave mistake. You’re attracted by physical characteristics and you will regret it.

You either have the Western view – you marry the woman you love, or the Eastern view – you love the woman you marry. Well, I tried to match both, and I think it wasn’t a bad choice.

Whoever governs Singapore must have that iron in him. Or give it up. This is not a game of cards.

I do not yet know of a man who became a leader as a result of having undergone a leadership course.

I always tried to be correct, not politically correct.

To be successful in a profession or in business, to become wealthy cannot be compared to making the lives of your fellow men better. This can bring immerse satisfaction.

What I fear is complacency. When things always become better, people tend to want more for less work.

If Singapore is a nanny state, then I am proud to have fostered one.

I have been accused of many things in my life, but not even my worst enemy has ever accused me of being afraid to speak my mind.

I make no apologies that the PAP is the Government and the Government is the PAP.

One man one vote is a most difficult form of government… Results can be erratic.

I was a product of the times, the war, the occupation, the reoccupation, my 4 years in Britain, admiring but at the same time questioning whether they are able to do a better job than we can.

Even from my sick bed, even if you are going to lower me into the grave and I feel something is going wrong, I will get up.

Singaporeans, if I can chose an analogy, we are the hard disk of a computer, the foreign talent are the megabytes you add to your storage capacity. So your computer never hangs because you got enormous storage capacity.

Political reform need not go hand in hand with economic liberalisation. I do not believe that if you are libertarian, full of diverse opinions, full of competing ideas in the market place, full of sound and fury, therefore you will succeed.

I ignore polling as a method of government. I think that shows a certain weakness of mind – an inability to chart a course whichever way the wind blows, whichever way the media encourages the people to go, you follow.

With few exceptions, democracy has not brought good government to new developing countries…What Asians value may not necessarily be what Americans or Europeans value. Westerners value the freedoms and liberties of the individual.
Freedom of the press, freedom of the news media, must be subordinated to the overriding needs of the integrity of Singapore, and to the primacy of purpose of an elected government.

I started off believing all men were equal. I now know that’s the most unlikely thing ever to have been…

Repression can only go up to a point. When it becomes too acute, the instruments of repression, namely the army and the police, have been proved time and time again in history to have turned their guns on their masters.

I have no regrets. I have spent my life, so much of it building up this country. There’s nothing more that I need to do. At the end of the day, what have I got? A SUCCESSFUL SINGAPORE. What have I given up? MY LIFE.

“When you were born you were crying and everyone else was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you’re the one who is smiling and everyone else is crying.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson. My thoughts and prayers for PM Lee Hsien Loong and his family find peace, comfort and strength during this difficult time. Praying for peace and blessings over the nation of Singapore. Good night, Sir or to the locals known as “Ah Gong”! Rest in peace with Mrs Lee. The world will never have another Mr Lee Kuan Yew and Singapore is forever indebted to you.

My most fondest and treasured memories, were listening to my late Dad and late maternal Grandpa telling me your stories and past Singapore stories. What touches me the most is that Mr Lee was your faithfulness, your incredible love for your beloved wife, a good father and a loving family man who took care of your loved ones.

In honesty and truthfulness, Sir, you had lived the great American’s ethos, “Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country” -Kahlil Gibran. These words were made famous by United States President John F. Kennedy in his 1961 inauguration speech. Because of you, Sir, I am proud of my heritage even though I don’t live in Singapore now, it is still my second home. Singaporeans who travel and live in overseas will tend to agree that the locals are really spoilt by the fruits of your labour. Thank you for teaching us to dream big even everything around you look bleak. With vision afloat, an intelligent and loyal team of people, determination, focus, diligence, sweat and tears, success is attainable. Your legacy will live on.

For in You I will find rest [MF]

20140330-224956.jpg

With great pleasure and honour to share another great poem that is written by my creative friend, Melinda Fletcher. It has touched my heart and many others. If you are in the dark and challenging season in life, you just breathe and this shall pass. When time to fight, you fight. Time to stand, you stand. Time to sit, you sit. Time to rest, you rest. Trust Him to take care of you.

Sometimes it is dark and my view becomes clouded

I feel I’m forsaken with nowhere to run

But Your love is revealed to me Lord through my trial

Your faithfulness shines through the clouds like the sun

For In you I will find rest

In you I will find rest

In you I will find rest

Rest for my weary soul

When I am in weakness you show yourself stronger

The thorn in my flesh is my friend not my foe

I find when it’s hard I’m still better to trust you

Than be lost without you and all on my own

For In you I will find rest

In you I will find rest

In you I will find rest

Rest for my weary soul

Somehow in my mess you make beauty from ashes

Nothing is wasted with what I’ve been through

Your purpose in this is to gently restore me

And use what has value to bring glory to you

For In you I will find rest

In you I will find rest

In you I will find rest

Rest for my weary soul

When life is not easy and grief is upon me

When feelings of loss make my heart overwhelmed

You tell me to come to you Lord for comfort

For you understand and will carry my load

And In you I will find rest

In you I will find rest

In you I will find rest

Rest for my weary soul

I come to the foot of your cross when I’m weary

Reminding  myself of your sacrifice

Beholding you and your love gives me courage

Your yoke is easy and burden is light

And In you I will find rest

In you I will find rest

In you I will find rest

Rest for my weary soul

All is well with my soul [MF]

Sharing another beautiful poem by my creative mate, Melinda Fletcher.

Distraction all around me

The cares of this life

People running to and fro

In worry and in strife

Pressure ever mounting

So much we must achieve

Knowledge is increasing

Expectations are on me

And then there is my body

Growing older every day

More aches and pains and troubles

That I pray to go away

Despite all of these troubles

I know what I must do

Despite my circumstances

I need to worship you

I need to worship you Lord Jesus

Lift my hands to you oh Lord

Keep my heart focused toward you

And my eyes upon your Word

I know deep down you love me

You are the anchor for my soul

Despite the crashing waves around me

It’s you I must behold !

I Declare [2]

Sharing this beautiful poem written by my uniquely creative friend, Melinda Fletcher.
“I must declare the promises
To overcome the doubt
For fear and worry have no power
When I speak them out

I must declare your word out loud
Despite all that I see
For natural circumstances
Try to take my eyes off thee
I must sing out your praises Lord
In everything I do
You already have my answers Lord
In everything you do

And even if I am overwhelmed
By the wind and all the waves
I know that you will rescue me
Through your amazing grace
I’d like not to go through the fire
But even if I do
In your love and faithfulness
You’ll carry me right through

I must stay within your presence lord
Abide within your word
Surround myself with worship
And believe all that I’ve heard

For you promised to be faithful God
Despite how bad I feel
Help me to be faithful lord
To rest and to be still

Help me to trust in you!!!

He will give you faith to remove it
Or grace to go through it
He is True to his word and loves you
Run to Him not from Him!!!
Believe Him. Now is your chance!
Rise to the challenge of faith despite sight!!!!”

Laugh

20140318-200627.jpg

Well, who like to argue with Dr Seuss’s philosophy. I’m sticking to his side. “I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is necessary ingredient in living, it’s a way of looking at life through the wrong end of telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life’s realities.”

To truly laugh, you must be able take pain, and play with it. – Charlie Chaplin
We all know that life is never a bed of roses. There are seasons and you cannot avoid. During the season of darkness and pain, you literally have to take every once of body to find that joy. You need some people come along side to create the laughter, tell you jokes and see some comedy movies to lighten the hard season. Challenging season don’t last, the strong people last. Soon you will able to laugh and play again without effort.

Sharing this as it cracks me up! Lol Can’t wait to see the movie Noah by Russell Crowe.

20140318-202430.jpg

“My great hope is to laugh as much as I cry; to get my work done and try to love somebody and have courage to accept love in return.” – Maya Angelou

Wisdom to ponder:

Love this promise:
Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the future. – Proverbs 31:25
