Happy International Women’s Day

Good Day, Beautiful People!

8th March every year is time to celebrate International Women’s Day worldwide! The essence of the commemoration of occasion ranges from general celebration of respect, appreciation, and love towards girls and women to a celebration for women’s economic, political, and social achievements.

Well, the political and human rights subject matter designated by the United Nations. It directs and conducts active, healthy, powerful, and political and social awareness of the struggles of women across the globe are accessed and investigated in a hopeful manner. Some folks celebrate the day by wearing purple ribbons.

So thankful to all the beautiful, amazing, strong and resilient women in my life. My late grandma, my mom, all the women in my family and extended family, my friends and my mentors. By looking at their lives, give me something to look up to and to build more and want more out of my life. I am grateful that I am living in a country that believe in women’s rights, equality and women’s freedom. Like Oprah said “Here’s to more achievements, equality and realization of our dreams.”

At the same time, I am also praying and believing for the girls and women who are being oppressed in certain countries in the world will enjoy the freedom, human rights and equality in the near future. Basically, those countries that oppressed women and children are not flourishing and unstable.

Truly, woman is created to be the man’s helper, partner in life and his equal. Clearly, it is written in the bible, woman is made from his rib of his equal, not from his head to control him, not from his feet to feel inferior to him.
“God put the Man into a deep sleep. As he slept he removed one of his ribs and replaced it with flesh. God then used the rib that he had taken from the Man to make Woman and presented her to the Man.” Gen2:22

Well, this is an excellent model we can be inspired to be. Honestly speaking, most of us will consider this is a tall order to follow. I am pretty certain I will not be doing all that especially the knitting, sewing and making my own clothes. Of course, there are women that are given such talents to sew and knit. Some are given green thumbs to grow plants and flowers in their gardens. We may not have all these talents but all of us are given something unique that we are good at. So stop comparing your talents and your life with others. Be you and that is enough. Celebrate the beautiful, authentic and exclusive you. Collectively, we cheer and applaud all our achievements.
A good woman is hard to find,
and worth far more than diamonds.
Her husband trusts her without reserve,
and never has reason to regret it.
Never spiteful, she treats him generously
all her life long.
She shops around for the best yarns and cottons,
and enjoys knitting and sewing.
She’s like a trading ship that sails to faraway places
and brings back exotic surprises.
She’s up before dawn, preparing breakfast
for her family and organizing her day.
She looks over a field and buys it,
then, with money she’s put aside, plants a garden.
First thing in the morning, she dresses for work,
rolls up her sleeves, eager to get started.
She senses the worth of her work,
is in no hurry to call it quits for the day.
She’s skilled in the crafts of home and hearth,
diligent in homemaking.
She’s quick to assist anyone in need,
reaches out to help the poor.
She doesn’t worry about her family when it snows;
their winter clothes are all mended and ready to wear.
She makes her own clothing,
and dresses in colourful linens and silks.
Her husband is greatly respected
when he deliberates with the city fathers.
She designs gowns and sells them,
brings the sweaters she knits to the dress shops.
Her clothes are well-made and elegant,
and she always faces tomorrow with a smile.
When she speaks she has something worthwhile to say,
and she always says it kindly.
She keeps an eye on everyone in her household,
and keeps them all busy and productive.
Her children respect and bless her;
her husband joins in with words of praise:
“Many women have done wonderful things,
but you’ve outclassed them all!”
Charm can mislead and beauty soon fades.
The woman to be admired and praised
is the woman who lives in the Fear-of-God.
Give her everything she deserves!
Festoon her life with praises! -Proverb 31:10-31

Hope you have a good start of your week.
UN Women Global Goodwill Ambassador, Emma Watson, conveyed her persuasive and poignant declaration during the #HeForShe Special Event, at United Nations Headquarters in New York on September 20, 2014. I must say her speech leave quite an impression on me.

Petition… Is not OK! Genocide is under our noses.

Good Day, Beautiful People! The world is magnificent but broken and some area is really in a sorry mess. I know many of you are concern and praying. We as believers must unite and pray till we see answer.

My heart bleeds for the Christians that are suffering and dying there daily. Innocent children, mothers and fathers are diabolically killed just for their belief. Murders and genocide under our noses. It is time for the world leaders to unite and UN to rise up to nib this injustice in the bud. Besides, this evil is going on for too long! This is about humanity and basic human right. Seriously, a radical religion, cult, that encourage, promote and brainwash their followers to kill other innocent people [To them, we are all infedels.] has to be stopped! These lawless people who think they own the world, can do whatever they like and assume no one able to take them down. Where are the real, intelligent and heroic people, Jack Bauer kind of character, vigilantes, bounty hunters and Movie Expandable type of men when the need arise? Jokes aside, all the countries need to join force, send intelligent and strong troops to fight and win this war.

According to wikipedia:
“Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) or the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is a Sunni jihadist group in the Middle East. In its self-proclaimed status as a caliphate, it claims religious authority over all Muslims across the world and aspires to bring most of the Muslim-inhabited regions of the world under its political control beginning with Iraq, Syria and other territories in the Levant region which include Jordan, Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Cyprus and part of southern Turkey. It has been designated as a foreign terrorist organization by the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia, and has been described by the United Nations and Western and Middle Eastern media as a terrorist group. The United Nations and Amnesty International have accused the group of grave human rights abuses.

ISIS is the successor to Tanzim Qaidat al-Jihad fi Bilad al-Rafidayn—later commonly known as Al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI)—formed by Abu Musab Al Zarqawi in 1999, which took part in the Iraqi insurgency against American-led forces and their Iraqi allies following the 2003 invasion of Iraq. During the 2003–2011 Iraq War, it joined other Sunni insurgent groups to form the Mujahideen Shura Council and consolidated further into the Islamic State of Iraq (ISI /ˈaɪsɪ/). At its height it enjoyed a significant presence in the Iraqi governorates of Al Anbar, Nineveh, Kirkuk, most of Salah ad Din, parts of Babil, Diyala and Baghdad, and claimed Baqubah as a capital city. However, the violent attempts by the Islamic State of Iraq to govern its territory led to a backlash from Sunni Iraqis and other insurgent groups circa 2008, which helped to propel the Awakening movement and a temporary decline in the group.
ISIS grew significantly under the leadership of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi gaining support in Iraq as a result of alleged economic and political discrimination against Iraqi Sunnis. Then, after entering the Syrian Civil War, it established a large presence in the Syrian governorates of Ar-Raqqah, Idlib, Deir ez-Zor and Aleppo. In June 2014, it had at least 4,000 fighters in its ranks in Iraq. It has claimed responsibility for attacks on government and military targets and for attacks that killed thousands of civilians. In August 2014, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights claimed that the number of fighters in the group had increased to 50,000 in Syria and 30,000 in Iraq. ISIS had close links to al-Qaeda until February 2014 when, after an eight-month power struggle, al-Qaeda cut all ties with the group, reportedly for its brutality and “notorious intractability”.

ISIS’s original aim was to establish a caliphate in the Sunni-majority regions of Iraq, and following its involvement in the Syrian Civil War this expanded to include controlling Sunni-majority areas of Syria. A caliphate was proclaimed on 29 June 2014, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi—now known as Amir al-Mu’minin Caliph Ibrahim—was named as its caliph, and the group was renamed the Islamic State.

Ideology and beliefs
ISIS is a Sunni extremist group that follows al-Qaeda’s hard-line ideology and adheres to global jihadist principles.[104][105] Like al-Qaeda and many other modern-day jihadist groups, ISIS emerged from the ideology of the Muslim Brotherhood, the world’s first Islamist group dating back to the late 1920s in Egypt.[106] ISIS follows an extreme anti-Western interpretation of Islam, promotes religious violence and regards those who do not agree with its interpretations as infidels or apostates. Concurrently, ISIS—now IS—aims to establish a Salafist-orientated Islamist state in Iraq, Syria and other parts of the Levant.

ISIS’s ideology originates in the branch of modern Islam that aims to return to the early days of Islam, rejecting later “innovations” in the religion which it believes corrupt its original spirit. It condemns later caliphates and the Ottoman empire for deviating from what it calls pure Islam and hence has been attempting to establish its own caliphate.[107] However, some Sunni commentators, including Salafi and jihadi muftis such as Adnan al-Aroor and Abu Basir al-Tartusi, say that ISIS and related terrorist groups are not Sunnis, but modern-day Kharijites—Muslims who have stepped outside the mainstream of Islam—serving an imperial anti-Islamic agenda. Other critics of ISIS’s brand of Sunni Islam include Salafists Saleh Al-Fawzan, who claims that Western forces are behind ISIS, and Abu Muhammad al-Maqdisi. Salafists such as ISIS believe that only a legitimate authority can undertake the leadership of jihad, and that the first priority over other areas of combat, such as fighting non-Muslim countries, is the purification of Islamic society. For example, when it comes to the Israeli–Palestinian conflict, since ISIS regards the Palestinian Sunni group Hamas as apostates who have no legitimate authority to lead jihad, it regards fighting Hamas as the first step toward confrontation with Israel.”

Imagine those people are your loved ones. What will your response be? Be mindful, be prayful! NB: This is not about religions. I have nothing against muslims or and any other beliefs. I have nice and good muslims friends who don’t go around killing people. Most religions teach you to do good, not evil!
