With great pleasure and honour to share another great poem that is written by my creative friend, Melinda Fletcher. It has touched my heart and many others. If you are in the dark and challenging season in life, you just breathe and this shall pass. When time to fight, you fight. Time to stand, you stand. Time to sit, you sit. Time to rest, you rest. Trust Him to take care of you.

Sometimes it is dark and my view becomes clouded

I feel I’m forsaken with nowhere to run

But Your love is revealed to me Lord through my trial

Your faithfulness shines through the clouds like the sun

When I am in weakness you show yourself stronger

The thorn in my flesh is my friend not my foe

Somehow in my mess you make beauty from ashes

When feelings of loss make my heart overwhelmed

Distraction all around me

The cares of this life

People running to and fro

In worry and in strife

 

Pressure ever mounting

So much we must achieve

Knowledge is increasing

Expectations are on me

 

And then there is my body

Growing older every day

More aches and pains and troubles

That I pray to go away

 

Despite all of these troubles

I know what I must do

Despite my circumstances

I need to worship you

 

I need to worship you Lord Jesus

Lift my hands to you oh Lord

Keep my heart focused toward you

And my eyes upon your Word

 

I know deep down you love me

You are the anchor for my soul

Despite the crashing waves around me

It’s you I must behold !

“I must declare the promises
To overcome the doubt
For fear and worry have no power
When I speak them out

I must declare your word out loud
Despite all that I see
For natural circumstances
Try to take my eyes off thee
I must sing out your praises Lord
In everything I do
You already have my answers Lord
In everything you do

And even if I am overwhelmed
By the wind and all the waves
I know that you will rescue me
Through your amazing grace
I’d like not to go through the fire
But even if I do

Well, who like to argue with Dr Seuss’s philosophy. I’m sticking to his side. “I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is necessary ingredient in living, it’s a way of looking at life through the wrong end of telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life’s realities.”

We all know that life is never a bed of roses. There are seasons and you cannot avoid. During the season of darkness and pain, you literally have to take every once of body to find that joy. You need some people come along side to create the laughter, tell you jokes and see some comedy movies to lighten the hard season. Challenging season don’t last, the strong people last. Soon you will able to laugh and play again without effort.

How awesome to know that talented Celebrity like Pharrell Williams is contributing back to society. His charity From One Hand To Another. So great that he is building a $35million after school centre in his hometown Virginia Beach. That just make me smile, knowing some high risk kids and teens are off the street at a safe place.

Whenever my mate, Jen & I listen to this song, we just forget about the daily grind and start doing the crazy dance. A good idea to release stress.

Look at the beautiful field of lilies. Dress elegantly & magnificently by the Creator. Well, if the Creator gives such attention to the wildflowers, most of them never ever seen, don’t you think He’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do His BEST for you?

Today, one of my beautiful friends surprise me with a bouquet of sweet roses and took me to a yummy Thai Restaurant near my workplace for a delish Thai cuisine.
