ANZAC 100th Anniversary

Good Day, Beautiful People!

25th April 2015 we honour the service men and women for protecting our country!  We also stop and pay tribute to the fallen diggers for their sacrifice in different venues all over Australia, Gallipoll and most part of the world. Lest we forget!

For the fallen
With proud thanksgiving, a mother for her children,
England mourns for her dead across the sea.
Flesh of her flesh they were, spirit of her spirit,
Fallen in the cause of the free.

Solemn the drums thrill: Death august and royal
Sings sorrow up into immortal spheres.
There is music in the midst of desolation
And a glory that shines upon our tears.

They went with songs to the battle, they were young,
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

They mingle not with their laughing comrades again;
They sit no more at familiar tables at home;
They have no lot in our labour of the day-time;
They sleep beyond England’s foam.

But where our desires are and our hopes profound,
Felt as a well-spring that is hidden from sight,
To the innermost heart of their own land they are known
As the stars are known to the Night;

As the stars that shall be bright when we are dust,
Moving in marches upon the heavenly plain,
As the stars that are starry in the time of our darkness,
To the end, to the end, they remain.

Laurence Binyon (1869–1943)

One Hundred Years

One hundred years – what have we learned
Since troop ships first left King George Sound
To spill a generation’s blood And prove a fledgling nationhood
By Anzacs forged on foreign ground?
Our youthful, daring sacrifice
The Empire called – we paid the price
For peace. And freedom’s lives a nation mourned
for those we left and those returned.
The hard fought Anzac legend born.
One hundred years – died we in vain?
Does Anzac spirit yet remain
where rules the rite of self and greed
no hand of help in time of need
and touched by hatred’s evil stain?
We lie beneath the wind’s caress
No gumtrees grace nor wattles dress
Our graves. And oh! how many country boys
Rest not below the Southern Cross
Of home.
One hundred years – we do not sleep
But restless ghostly vigil keep
among the crosses in their rows
Where myth and memory are met
We make those blood red poppies blow
Year by year – lest you forget.

Happy St Valentine Day

2015/02/img_6997-0.jpg

Good Day, Beautiful People!

14th of February is celebrated in many nations known as Saint Valentine’s Day, also known as Valentine’s Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine.

“The origin of this holiday for the expression of love really isn’t romantic at all — at least not in the traditional sense. Father Frank O’Gara of Whitefriars Street Church in Dublin, Ireland, tells the real story of the man behind the holiday — St. Valentine.

“He was a Roman Priest at a time when there was an emperor called Claudias who persecuted the church at that particular time,” Father O’Gara explains. ” He also had an edict that prohibited the marriage of young people. This was based on the hypothesis that unmarried soldiers fought better than married soldiers because married soldiers might be afraid of what might happen to them or their wives or families if they died.”

“I think we must bear in mind that it was a very permissive society in which Valentine lived,” says Father O’Gara. “Polygamy would have been much more popular than just one woman and one man living together. And yet some of them seemed to be attracted to Christian faith. But obviously the church thought that marriage was very sacred between one man and one woman for their life and that it was to be encouraged. And so it immediately presented the problem to the Christian church of what to do about this.”

“The idea of encouraging them to marry within the Christian church was what Valentine was about. And he secretly married them because of the edict.”

Valentine was eventually caught, imprisoned and tortured for performing marriage ceremonies against command of Emperor Claudius the second. There are legends surrounding Valentine’s actions while in prison.

“One of the men who was to judge him in line with the Roman law at the time was a man called Asterius, whose daughter was blind. He was supposed to have prayed with and healed the young girl with such astonishing effect that Asterius himself became Christian as a result.”

In the year 269 AD, Valentine was sentenced to a three part execution of a beating, stoning, and finally decapitation all because of his stand for Christian marriage. The story goes that the last words he wrote were in a note to Asterius’ daughter. He inspired today’s romantic missives by signing it, “from your Valentine.”

“What Valentine means to me as a priest,” explains Father O’Gara, “is that there comes a time where you have to lay your life upon the line for what you believe. And with the power of the Holy Spirit we can do that — even to the point of death.”

Valentine’s martyrdom has not gone unnoticed by the general public. In fact, Whitefriars Street Church is one of three churches that claim to house the remains of Valentine. Today, many people make the pilgrimage to the church to honor the courage and memory of this Christian saint.

“Valentine has come to be known as the patron saint of lovers. Before you enter into a Christian marriage you want some sense of God in your life — some great need of God in your life. And we know, particularly in the modern world, many people are meeting God through his Son, Jesus Christ.”

“If Valentine were here today, he would say to married couples that there comes a time where you’re going to have to suffer. It’s not going to be easy to maintain your commitment and your vows in marriage. Don’t be surprised if the ‘gushing’ love that you have for someone changes to something less “gushing” but maybe much more mature. And the question is, is that young person ready for that?”

“So on the day of the marriage they have to take that into context,” Father O’Gara says. “Love — human love and sexuality is wonderful, and blessed by God — but also the shadow of the cross. That’s what Valentine means to me.”
-By David Kithcart from CBN.

Valentine poetry
Je suis desja d’amour tanné
Ma tres doulce Valentinée…

-Charles d’Orléans, Rondeau VI lines 1–2

To-morrow is Saint Valentine’s day,
All in the morning betime,
And I a maid at your window,
To be your Valentine.
Then up he rose, and donn’d his clothes,
And dupp’d the chamber-door;
Let in the maid, that out a maid
Never departed more.

-William Shakespeare, Hamlet, Act IV, Scene 5

Hayle Bishop Valentine whose day this is
All the Ayre is thy Diocese
And all the chirping Queristers
And other birds ar thy parishioners
Thou marryest every yeare
The Lyrick Lark, and the graue whispering Doue,
The Sparrow that neglects his life for loue,
The houshold bird with the redd stomacher
Thou makst the Blackbird speede as soone,
As doth the Goldfinch, or the Halcyon
The Husband Cock lookes out and soone is spedd
And meets his wife, which brings her feather-bed.
This day more cheerfully than ever shine
This day which might inflame thy selfe old Valentine.
—John Donne, Epithalamion Vpon Frederick Count Palatine and the Lady Elizabeth marryed on St. Valentines day

The modern cliché Valentine’s Day poem can be found in the collection of English nursery rhymes Gammer Gurton’s Garland (1784):
The rose is red, the violet’s blue,
The honey’s sweet, and so are you.
Thou art my love and I am thine;
I drew thee to my Valentine:
The lot was cast and then I drew,
And Fortune said it shou’d be you.

Modern Valentine Day may view just for couples expression of their romantic love. The singles, divorced and married couples who are not in love can be a difficult day with the external and commercial pressure of the world. I am not here to ease your pain or loneliness or even think it is acceptable. It is easy to feel unloved and blue or even depressed in situation like that. It may be hard to believe you’re loved. The Creator of the Universe who created you and your parents who passionately in love that is why you are here. Even if you’re born out of wedlock, considered a product of a loved child or even orphan.

The most important thing is your attitude towards love. Learn to love yourself like the way the Creator love you. Do something for yourself, celebrate you. You can spend time with your single friends, family or do something special for yourself. Get creative after all love is not just for couples. I remembered each time me or my sibling broke out with our ex boyfriend or ex girlfriend or we were singles especially at Valentine Day, mom always came up with creative ideas to celebrate the day as a family… ordered special meals or cooked us our favourite food and yummy dessert. We played silly games or watched fun comedy shows or go to the movies together. Another one of our favourite is going to the shopping mall together to get something special for us.

Even when I was on my own, I would always do something special to celebrate me. Eat my favourite food, listen to my favourite music, dance with myself, have some bubbly or wine, dark chocolate and nice long spa bath, massage or facial or a health retreat. Finish the day meditating on God’s promises. I treasure taking time for myself, nourishing myself. Physically, mentally and spiritually preparing myself like a bride. Be the person you like to spend time with because you are worthy it. Find your own groove, party Uno. Instead of feeling defeated and throwing yourself a pity party. Take time to pray for your soul mate, pray he or she is preparing himself or herself for your future together. It is better to be single then settle for second best or whoever come along. Enjoy your singlehood, your freedom doing things you love, travelling, see the world, build your ministry, career or business then married to a wrong person. Besides, if you never enjoy your singlehood life, it is harder for you to enjoy your marriage life. Your soul mate will come at God’s timing. Unless you are the chosen ones to be celibate or single for life.

Believe His Promises:
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. -1Cor13:4-8

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. -1Jn4:7

A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. -Prov17:17

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. -1Cor13:3

And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. -Rev21:2

Let us rejoice and be glad; let us praise his greatness! For the time has come for the wedding of the Lamb, and his bride has prepared herself for it. -Rev19:7

Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear. -Rev19:8

You were bought at a price. Therefore honour God with your body. -1Cor6:20
For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. -Eph5:31

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. -Eph5:25

You may or may not know there is a God who loves you so much even before you’re born. No human being can love the way He loves you! The agape love that willing to get down to earth as a simple, poor, carpenter from His magnificent, wealthy, Heavenly Kingdom to win your love by dying for you 2000 years ago. Knowing very well you may never say yes and love Him back. If you’re reading this and searching for someone to fill that void that no person can fill. Give Jesus the chance to make a difference in your life. Try Him if it does not work out for you the world can have you back. Truly, I like to be able to see you in Heaven one day, it will never be the same without you.
Repeat after me: “Dear Jesus, I need You in my life. I acknowledge that I have made mistakes and I come to You right now confessing that and asking your forgiveness. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I believe You are the Son of God and that You rose from the dead and are alive today. I open the door of my heart and receive You as my Saviour and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my wrongdoings and giving me eternal life. Please take control of my life from here forward and make me the kind of person you want me to be. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

Happy Thanksgiving

IMG_5649.JPG
Good Day, Beautiful People! Happy Belated Thanksgiving to all my American friends!

This is one good holiday that we can adopt to celebrate!
It makes us stop and reflect on being thankful regardless our circumstances.

IMG_5371-0.JPG
Last year at my business and professional women network connect Thanksgiving cum Christmas Party, I gave the ladies each a gratitude journal as a gift. The reason behind this gift is encouraging them to focus on being thankful.

I wrote a love note on the first page of each gratitude Journal:
Beloved,
In the bible is written
“Give thanks to the Lord for He is good, His love is eternal” Ps107:1, Ps136:1, Ps118:1, 1Chron16:34
Let us focus on being thankful, you will find much to be thankful for!
The challenge is to give thanks even our life is not perfect or facing horrible circumstances.
When life seems to be one discouragement, disappointment, disease, disaster, tragedy and death after another.
Choose to “Thank God in everything (no matter what the circumstances maybe, be thankful, gives thanks) for this is the will of God for you (who are) in Christ Jesus…” 1Thess5:18

This year as we met for our Gratitude and Christmas celebration I requested the ladies to share one of their gratitude journal entries. The result was astounding. Our hearts are full of thankfulness. We are all enriched by the sharing. These brave women rise up and overcome different challenges with grateful hearts.

Sharing these poems that touched and moved my heart.

More Than A Day
As Thanksgiving Day rolls around,
It brings up some facts, quite profound.
We may think that we’re poor,
Feel like bums, insecure,
But in truth, our riches astound.
We have friends and family we love;
We have guidance from heaven above.
We have so much more
Than they sell in a store,
We’re wealthy, when push comes to shove.
So add up your blessings, I say;
Make Thanksgiving last more than a day.
Enjoy what you’ve got;
Realize it’s a lot,
And you’ll make all your cares go away.
By Karl Fuchs

I’m Thankful for You
Thanksgiving is the appointed time
for focusing on the good in our lives.
In each of our days,
we can find small blessings,
but too often we overlook them,
choosing instead to spend our time
paying attention to problems.
We give our energy
to those who cause us trouble
instead of those who bring peace.
Starting now,
let’s be on the lookout
for the bits of pleasure in each hour,
and appreciate the people who
bring love and light to everyone
who is blessed to know them.
You are one of those people.
On Thanksgiving,
I’m thankful for you.
Happy Thanksgiving!
By Joanna Fuchs

Hope your heart is opened and grateful after reading this. Happy to hear what you are thankful for this year.

I will Wait [Je vais attendre. Voy a esperar.]

IMG_3747-0.JPG
Good Day, Beautiful People!
Just want to share one of favourite songs by Munford and Sons that brings me so much joy in listening. “Mumford & Sons are a British folk rock band. The band consists of Marcus Mumford (lead vocals, guitar, drums, mandolin), Ben Lovett (vocals, keyboards, accordion, drums), Winston Marshall (vocals, banjo, guitar, resonator guitar, dobro), and Ted Dwane (vocals, string bass, drums, guitar). Mumford & Sons were formed in December 2007, emerging from West London with such artists as Laura Marling, Johnny Flynn and Noah and the Whale.”-Wikipedia

Is hard to believe someone without faith create and sing songs that are so faith driven. At least, he believes in God and spirituality. Marcus has come from a good background. (Perhaps a bit of Pastor’s kid syndrome. Perhaps is the religious stuff that he doesn’t want to associate with… that is only my crazy assumption.) Simply enjoy and love their songs.

Well, I came home
Like a stone
And I fell heavy into your arms
These days of dust
Which we’ve known
Will blow away with this new sun

But I’ll kneel down,
Wait for now
And I’ll kneel down,
Know my ground

And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you

So break my step
And relent
Well, you forgave and I won’t forget
Know what we’ve seen
And him with less
Now in some way shake the excess

‘Cause I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you

Now I’ll be bold
As well as strong
And use my head alongside my heart
So tame my flesh
And fix my eyes
A tethered mind freed from the lies

And I’ll kneel down,
Wait for now
I’ll kneel down,
Know my ground

Raise my hands
Paint my spirit gold
And bow my head
Keep my heart slow

‘Cause I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you

Enjoy this incredible song as many already loved!

My Mother’s Heart Poem [MF]

IMG_3342.JPG
Good Day, Beautiful People!
Is the second day of Spring in Southern Hemisphere. Is a new season, new things to accomplish, new exciting events awaiting ahead and new challenges for some of us to overcome.

Last week, my beautiful and creative friend, Mel and her sweet sister Jen, informed us the bad news of her mom limited days on earth. She is almost ready to step into glory and immigrate to her new permanent address. Is one part of life journey that we all find it difficult to cope. So please keep my friends, Mel’s and Jen’s family in your prayers. In the midst of the challenge, Mel, wrote this touching poem will simply bless you if you ever experience loss and grief.

“In light of my mum being sick and with other thoughts on my heart, I was inspired to write the poem below. God bless.” -Melinda Fletcher

I want to bring you glory Lord
I want to bring you praise
I want my life to matter Lord

In the end of days
I want to leave a legacy
That I loved you my lord
And when they say good bye to me
They’ll know I’m truly home

Home with God my Father
In heaven with my Lord
“Absent from the body
But present with The Lord”

So do not cry my darling
It won’t be very long
Till we see each other once again
When gathered at His throne

God will give you grace to live
Without me when I’m gone
So do not fret and do not fear
God will make you strong

My heart is crying for you
That you’ll miss me when I’m gone
But know I’m always with you
In spirit and in song

God is always faithful
And He has surely said
Because of what His Son has done
I will see you.. again

Rest [MF]

Good Day, Beautiful People!
Nothing is permanent in this world. The only constant things are God’s Love and changes.
Those of us who travel on this life journey for awhile bound to experience good and bad seasons. Some days in life seem more challenging than other days. You just need to take it as it comes. One day at a time. Even your feeling right now is temporary. So don’t let your feeling run your life. Enjoy the the good with the bad. Be thankful for the good times and challenging times. We learn valuable lesson during challenging time. We can choose to curl up like a ball and hide or choose to put on your spiritual armor, pick up your spiritual weapon and fight. Let your village of people who love you know to give you the support you need.
Adopt a good attitude, positive thinking and good opinion of God. Most brave people I encounter overcome challenging storms through this way has amazing great outcome. You can experience joy right here in the midst of real and even raw life.

Joy is neither the absence of pain,
nor the presence of denial.
It is discovered when you and I
Allows our minds and spirits to be
Saturated with the truth that
God is near us,
With the miracle that He walks beside us. – Alicia Britt Chole

If you have to fight the battle, fight courageously.
If you have to walk through it, walk boldly.
If you have to stand on guard, stand equipped.
If you have to sit and watch, sit patiently.
If you have to rest at a standstill, rest peacefully.
-Angela S Chua

Below is another touching poem REST from my creative mate, Melinda Fletcher.
My soul will rest in You alone
My soul will rest in You alone
In the shadow of your wings
It’s there you will hear me sing
My soul will rest in You alone

My heart will trust in you alone
My heart will trust in you alone
Nothing will I fear
as long as you are near
My God I will trust in you alone

My hope is in Your word alone
My hope is in Your word alone
My hiding place and shield
In your presence where I’m healed
My hope is in Your word alone

No Worries, No Worries [MF]

20140728-121241-43961236.jpg
Good day, lovely people!
I am sure you may be aware and concern about the recent catastrophe events around the globe.  I am concern, saddened and a bit overwhelm by the recent tragedies that happen around the world. The natural disaster, conflict regions in the world, Malaysia Airlines flight MH370,  MH17, TransAsia Airways flight GE222, Nepal Airlines flight RA-183 and Air Algerie plane. One cannot help but feel for the victims and the families and friends that have to go through grief in such extend. Let us be mindful, and prayerful for them.

If you happen to be the affected people who mourn due to these tragedies or loss someone you love. Please accept my condolence: “I cannot imagine what you are going through. Extending deepest sympathy, for you in your loss. And hoping, too, that comfort and peace may come to you. Hold on to your good memories, and let them guide you during this time of sadness.” Hope and pray you are able to get proper closure, support from your local church, community, see a good shrink or a superb counsellor help you to move forward in life.

My beautiful and creative mate, Mel has written this touching poem that is  appropriate for the above situation.

He said it in the bible there’d be terror in the sky

But doesn’t mean His will is for the innocent to die

What it shows is that there’s evil and we aren’t evolving apes

There is a sense of right and wrong across the human race

The tragedies unite us in the justice in the cause

It make us more aware of each other when we morn

The only good that comes from the tragedies we face

Is the singing at the funerals of the song Amazing Grace

Our Life can be so easy and familiar we become

Not realizing it’s all futile and that heaven is our home

But the only way to get there is to believe on Jesus Christ

For He is the only answer the way the truth the life

No worries no worries

Jesus is here

No worries no worries

Jesus is here

Here to bring love to the hate all around

Here to bring hope to the hopeless and bound

Here to bring joy to your sorrow my dear

No worries no worries Jesus is here

Life can seem so hard when we’re running to and fro

People let you down and your friends become your foes

But Jesus is the saviour just wanting us to see

That life here now is nothing to His plan for you and me

The cry of every heart is a sense we’re not alone

That God is really real and sitting on the throne

The hope is that he is watching and understands it all

And nothing will get by Him in the end the bad will fall

When everything seems hopeless and life seems so uncertain

It is Jesus who has died and has opened up the curtain

His love speaks so much louder than the hatred that is hurled

Jesus is the answer to the worries of the world

No worries no worries

Jesus is here

No worries no worries

Jesus is here

Here to bring comfort to the mourning

Here to bring life everlasting

Here to bring peace to dispel all the fear

No worries no worries Jesus is here

Celebrate the life of Dr Maya Angelou (April 4, 1928 – May 28, 2014)

Good Day, Beautiful People!

May 28 2014,  the world has lost a legendary poet, author, teacher and warrior of peace, equality and tolerence, Dr Maya Angelou. Heaven gains a great heroine. Her writing has inspired and encouraged multitude in America and around the world. Even though she led a kaleidoscopic  life, her writings was so soulful, sensible and pragmatic. Good night, Dr Maya Angelou. You will always live in our hearts. One day, we will meet in heaven.

In case for some reason you are not familiar with her handiwork, you are in for more than just a treat. It is encouraging, empowering, powerful and life changing. Sharing some of my all time favourites, Dr Maya Angelou’s poems.

Still I Rise

You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may tread me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I’ll rise.

Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
‘Cause I walk like I’ve got oil wells
Pumping in my living room.

Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I’ll rise.

Did you want to see me broken?
Bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down like teardrops.
Weakened by my soulful cries.

Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don’t you take it awful hard
‘Cause I laugh like I’ve got gold mines
Diggin’ in my own back yard.

You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I’ll rise.

Does my sexiness upset you?
Does it come as a surprise
That I dance like I’ve got diamonds
At the meeting of my thighs?

Out of the huts of history’s shame
I rise
Up from a past that’s rooted in pain
I rise
I’m a black ocean, leaping and wide,
Welling and swelling I bear in the tide.
Leaving behind nights of terror and fear
I rise
Into a daybreak that’s wondrously clear
I rise
Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave,
I am the dream and the hope of the slave.
I rise
I rise
I rise.

Touched by Angel

We, unaccustomed to courage
exiles from delight
live coiled in shells of loneliness
until love leaves its high holy temple
and comes into our sight
to liberate us into life.Love arrives
and in its train come ecstasies
old memories of pleasure
ancient histories of pain.
Yet if we are bold,
love strikes away the chains of fear
from our souls. We are weaned from our timidity
In the flush of love’s light
we dare be brave
And suddenly we see
that love costs all we are
and will ever be.
Yet it is only love
which sets us free.

Phenomenal Woman

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I’m not cute or built to suit a fashion model’s size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I’m telling lies.
I say,
It’s in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.

I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please,
And to a man,
The fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees.
Then they swarm around me,
A hive of honey bees.
I say,
It’s the fire in my eyes,
And the flash of my teeth,
The swing in my waist,
And the joy in my feet.
I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.

Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me.
They try so much
But they can’t touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them
They say they still can’t see.
I say,
It’s in the arch of my back,
The sun of my smile,
The ride of my breasts,
The grace of my style.
I’m a woman

Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.

Now you understand
Just why my head’s not bowed.
I don’t shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me passing
It ought to make you proud.
I say,
It’s in the click of my heels,
The bend of my hair,
the palm of my hand,
The need of my care,
‘Cause I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.

I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings

The free bird leaps
on the back of the wind
and floats downstream
till the current ends
and dips his wings
in the orange sun rays
and dares to claim the sky.

But a bird that stalks
down his narrow cage
can seldom see through
his bars of rage
his wings are clipped and
his feet are tied
so he opens his throat to sing.

The caged bird sings
with fearful trill
of the things unknown
but longed for still
and his tune is heard
on the distant hill
for the caged bird
sings of freedom

The free bird thinks of another breeze
and the trade winds soft through the sighing trees
and the fat worms waiting on a dawn-bright lawn
and he names the sky his own.

But a caged bird stands on the grave of dreams
his shadow shouts on a nightmare scream
his wings are clipped and his feet are tied
so he opens his throat to sing

The caged bird sings
with a fearful trill
of things unknown
but longed for still
and his tune is heard
on the distant hill
for the caged bird
sings of freedom.

Below is a significant teeny portion of Dr Maya Angelou interview with Oprah Winfrey.

I will leave you with her last profound tweet, ” Listen to yourself and in that quietude you might hear the voice of God.” It is still resounding in my heart.

Good Day, Beautiful People!

Emailing  is one of  our modern days communication that we cannot live without. My love and hate of emails has been consistent since day one. I am one of those  people who constantly and laboriously delete emails,  empty junk, spam emails and block senders. Nevertheless, it is always welcoming to start or end my work day with lovely inspiring  and encouraging emails. Today is one of those good days.

My beloved supporters aka subscribers are now familiar with my beautiful and creative mate, Melinda Fletcher. Without fail, she regularly emails me and other friends her new piece of poem, work of genius. Well, sit back and enjoy.

1 John 4:17b; because as He is, so are we in this world.

I want to walk like you

I want to talk like you

I want to live this life

where I’m found in you

I want to seek your face

I want to live by faith

I want to know your ways

I want to run this race

I want to speak your word

I want to follow you

I want to know your truth

I want to love like you

And when you come again

I want to see your face

I want to worship you

Amazing grace!
