Chapter One of 2016 is gone… Hope it was a great start of the year for you. For my Northern Hemisphere friends are thankful that the long cold winter is ending and welcoming the spring. Over the Southern Hemisphere, we enjoy summer with our family, loved ones and friends. Some took time off work or leave to have a getaway to reconnect, replenish, rewind, regroup, relax and refocus with the Creator, self and loved ones.
Ready to kick start Chapter Two of 2016. Big welcome to Happy February where most of us go back into our routine school and work life. The challenge is not just to do the routine like Groundhog Day last year. There is this saying by Robin Sharma “Don’t live the same year 75 times and called it a life.” I guess is up to us individually to question, redefine, confront and claim our real purposeful lives back.
We need to ask and answer honestly ourselves the following questions. No one can answer that for you. People may come along side with you and cheer you on. The truth is only you can choose your own path and walk your own life journey. Love yourself enough to figure this out, don’t let another year go by doing same old stuff. After all February is a month of love. Self love is not selfish. Without loving ourselves, we will be running on empty, unhappy and resentful.
What do you want to see come to pass in 2016?
What do you want to do in 2016?
What are you believing for in 2016?
What you want to achieve in your personal, work and spiritual life?
What are you passionate about?
What you want to contribute in your world to make a difference?
What new things you are going to do or try?
What calculated risk you are going to take?
Leaving you with some wise quotes to ponder:
Believe that God is doing something NEW!
“This is what GOD says, the God who builds a road right through the ocean, who carves a path through pounding waves, The God who summons horses and chariots and armies— they lie down and then can’t get up; they’re snuffed out like so many candles: “Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it? There it is! I’m making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands. Wild animals will say ‘Thank you!’ —the coyotes and the buzzards— Because I provided water in the desert, rivers through the sun-baked earth, Drinking water for the people I chose, the people I made especially for myself, a people custom-made to praise me.” -Isaiah 43:16-21 MSG

My ‘word’ for last year was career. God gave me one. This year I am picking two words. “Marriage” and “Published.” I am excited to see the fulfillment of these two promises I have been waiting on to be fulfilled in my life.
Awesome. Thanks for sharing. 🙏🏻🙌🏻
So important to constantly re-evaluate! I love how you are asking these questions at the start of the month rather than just annually. Thanks for your encouragement! I’m looking forward to seeing more from you – keep up the great work!
